A new client for us this year was Kaye Wilson, a parenting expert based in the Oklahoma area. Kaye, a mother of five, to now adult children, and a grandmother to their expanding families, has a wealth of experience to share within a Christian framework. Kaye had a blog but no website functionality to book one to one coaching, classes or promote her workshops, so needed a new website.
First we worked on her branding and we created a new logo. The logo was created using the KWP initials of her company Kaye Wilson Parenting, classical elements to represent her classical values and an owl to represent her wisdom. This beautiful design is by our logo collaborator, Matt Lowe Design. The colors of brown, off white and a soft blue-grey were used throughout the site for unity.
Kaye had written years worth of blogposts. We imported these from her previous Wordpress site, updated the images and retagged them so they could be easily searched by parents seeking help.
Kaye had traditionally run workshops at local churches and parenting groups, but with Covid19 putting an end to in person classes we quickly moved towards an online model, allowing to teach both locally and nationally. We coached on how to use Zoom and incorporate it into her classes. We added Google forms to register interest, and showed how to set up events on the website when she needed to.
